View of Costaérès Island from Mean Ruz lighthouse

Château de Costaérès is a unique architectural gem nestled on the rocky islet of the same name on Brittany's Côte de Granit Rose. Built in 1896 for the Polish mathematician Bruno Abakanowicz, this neo-medieval manor house is a veritable emblem of the region.
The Côte de granit rose is one of the many choronyms of the French coastline: the granite outcrops are predominantly brown to pink in color, and it is this physical characteristic that gives rise to this tourist name.
Apart from its distinctive color, the coastline is dotted with chaotic clusters, the jewel in the crown of which is the coastal path.
