Approaching the Iron Gates of Samariá

People hiking through a rocky gorge with tall, steep cliffs and sparse vegetation.

The Iron Gates are one of the most famous features of the Samariá Gorge hike.

The "gates" aren't actually made of iron but rather are a 4 meters wide section of the gorge with 300 m tall cliffs on either side.
