Los Haitises National Park mangrove

A tropical mangrove forest with dense greenery and visible roots submerged in calm water.

Despite the poor soil, frequent rainfall and high humidity have allowed the development of vegetation typical of the subtropical rainforest.

The park is an impressive vegetation maze of deep fjords that merge into mangrove and liana forests. The reserve boasts many precious varieties of tree, from cedar to mahogany and mangrove.
