A scenic beach view featuring white sand, umbrellas, and sun loungers along the shore. Clear blue waters with a few boats, and people swimming and relaxing. A hilly coastline and a few clouds in the sky complete the tranquil setting.

Nestled on the east coast of Crete, Vai beach offers a unique paradise unlike any other in Greece. Its main attraction is Europe's largest natural palm forest, creating an exotic atmosphere with thousands of Cretan date palms swaying gently in the breeze.

Beyond its botanical marvel, the beach itself boasts soft, golden sands and crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming, sunbathing and soaking up the magnificent scenery.

Vai beach is not part of any civic unit of the local civic division of Greece, Lasithi. It is not itself an official village. The region is somewhat isolated on the isolated northeast peninsula of Crete. Until after WWII, this land was owned by Toplou Monastery.
