The interior of a church rich in colorful Byzantine frescoes of Cretan and Macedonian inspiration.

Agia Triada Cathedral is located in the center of Agios Nikolaos. It is a three-aisled, cruciform Byzantine cathedral with a dome. The central nave is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the northern to the Three Holy Hierarchs and the southern to the Virgin Mary.

Two chapels were later added, serving as confessionals.

The church is full of frescoes! Both trends in Byzantine iconography are represented: Cretan and Macedonian.
